The habit loop

Twelve deeds. One number. A place among friends.

The struggle

You prayed, you read a page, you made your dhikr. Nothing recorded it, nobody saw it, and by Thursday the habit was gone again. Most apps answer with a reminder. A reminder is not a reason.

What Arqaan does

Every day has a board of twelve deeds. Each one you finish earns Noor, Noor grows the tree you are tending, and the week’s Noor ranks you in a league with the people you actually know. The garden always tells you what it is waiting for.

The streak is real, or it is nothing

Go quiet and the garden wilts. The level you were on becomes a debt, shown as a figure, and new Noor pays it down before your progress moves again. You get the day back by doing the work, not by paying.

Counted on the server

The league is ranked on Noor computed server-side, so no device can push a number that is not real. It rolls over Monday at 12:00 UTC, after every timezone has finished its Sunday.

Works offline

Log prayers on a plane. Everything queues and converges when you are back, including the taps you made on two devices.

The struggle

Practice is private, so nobody notices when it slips. The people who would keep you honest never see the days you missed, and the people who would cheer never see the days you kept.

What Arqaan does

Add friends, visit their gardens, and share a community dhikr goal that everyone’s counter pays into. There is no feed and nothing to broadcast. Your garden is the only thing on show, and it only shows the truth.

The struggle

A revert, a child, or anyone who simply never got taught is left piecing the basics together from videos and forum threads, with no way to know what they have actually understood.

What Arqaan does

Sixty-seven written lessons across the five pillars, each chapter closing on a quiz you have to pass before the next one opens. Written for reverts and for families learning together, with practice tools beside the lessons and 3D games for the rites of Hajj. Nothing unlocks by waiting.

Ten lessons on Hajj and ten on Umrah, laid along a journey trail that follows the rites in the order you will perform them.

The journey trail

Ihram, Tawaf, Sa’i, in the order you will walk them.

Hajj and Umrah are taught as a path rather than a syllabus. Each rite is a chapter, each chapter ends in a revision test that gates the next, and the duas for Tawaf and Sa’i sit where you will need them. Quiz formats include matching, ordering, fill-in and scenario questions, so a pass means the rite is understood and not just read.

Tawaf and Sa’i are also being built as 3D games: walk the seven circuits and the seven lengths between Safa and Marwa on the phone before you do them in Makkah. They are in development and land in a later build.

Alongside the lessons: a Hajj checklist of thirty-nine things to pack, carry and arrange, and a savings jar you can point at the trip.

The Learn tab: five pillar icons across the top, the Salah track selected, an Up Next card for the first lesson, and the chapter trail below it with locked lessons waiting.
